Tiny Tragedies
Bachelor Diploma Project
The project uses anecdotes submitted anonymously based on the following prompt:
Sometimes we neglect our own boundaries in order to accommodate the needs, or forgive the behavior, of someone we are close to, someone we are in love with, or someone we admire or idolize. If you have experienced sexual violence but ignored it because of an internal or external illusion telling you that you were not really a victim, here is a space to tell that story.
Each entry is rewritten and illustrated with care into a minimalist narrative. The final result offers an intimate and elementary reading, easing both the victim and the audience into the conversation.
12 final stories were printed in multiples as well as published on Instagram. The project was published as a book, which included an exhibit featuring the original drawings.
It also evolved into an interactive installation where people can read the stories, as well as write their own. The exhibit was showcased in several places including: Fumetto Comix Festival, the United Nations Library, and Porny Days Festival.
Available in French and English.
Printed with two-color Riso.
